About Tim:
Tim Walker grew up in Absarokee, MT, a small town outside of Billings. He attended Jamestown College for one year, and then transferred to Rocky Mountain College to earn a degree and play basketball. Walker earned a degree in History and Political Science in 1990 from Rocky. He completed one year as an assistant basketball coach in 1990-1991. Tim then took a teaching job in Columbus, MT, where he taught History, Political Science, and PE from 1991-1993. He also was an assistant Football and Basketball coach.
In 1993, Tim took a position at Montana State University Northern as an assistant men’s basketball coach, while at the same time earning a Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling Education. In 1997, Walker was promoted to Head Basketball Coach, and remained there until 2001. During that time, Walker’s team won one conference championship, while setting a school record for wins at 26. In 2001, Walker took the assistant men’s basketball job at LC State, and remained in that capacity until he was promoted to Head Coach in 2005. He resigned in 2011, after two different teams won the conference championship and tournament championship.
Soon after, Tim accepted a sales position with Spokane Athletic selling sporting goods. Spokane Athletic was acquired by BSN Sports one year later. Currently, Tim is a sales professional with BSN Sports and resides in Lewiston. BSN Sports is the largest distributor of team apparel and equipment in the country.
Tim and his wife Lynette have two children, Jake and Jordan.
