Dr. Bob Frederick Sport Leadership Lecture Series

About Dr. Crawford:

Currently serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Sport Management Program at Washington State University.  Dr. Crawford teaches in one of the most well known undergraduate and graduate sport management programs in the Northwest.  In her role, Dr. Crawford teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in sport management and works closely with students to help them secure internships that lead to jobs after graduation.

 

Prior to beginning her career in academia, Dr. Crawford was the Head Women’s Rowing Coach at WSU from 1990-2002.  During her tenure as head coach, she transitioned the WSU rowing team from ‘club’ status to ‘intercollegiate-varsity’ status and built the program to national prominence leading the Cougars to five PAC-10 championships and a national title in 1995.  In 2001, she was named the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) West Region Coach of the Year. 

 

Dr. Crawford received her doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration from WSU in 2007 and a masters of arts in Education with a concentration in Athletic Administration from WSU in 2004.  Her scholarly interests focus on the acclimation and experience of international student-athletes at American universities.
