The Dr. Bob Frederick Sport Leadership Lecture Series has welcomed over 100 speakers in seven years.  Through personal examples and key leadership concepts shared across the 100 speakers, Pete will offer the audience six strategies for professional development and personal growth.

About Pete:

 

Dr. Van Mullem has over 14 years of professional experience in coaching and athletic administrative positions at the junior high, high school, small college, NCAA Division II and Division I level.  He currently serves on the Editorial Board for the International Sport Coaching Journal (ISCJ) and as Managing Editor for PHE America. Dr. Van Mullem recently served as a member of the National Standards for Sport Coaches Revision Task Force (2017-2019).  

 

At LC State, Dr. Van Mullem is the creator and director of the Annual Dr. Bob Frederick Sport Leadership Lecture Series, held every October on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College.  In six years the lecture series has welcomed over 100 leaders in the sport industry to share insight and expertise with the LCSC Community.  Dr. Van Mullem received his doctorate in Sport Ethics from the University of Idaho and his scholarly interests focus on coach development and ethical sport leadership.  He presents to national audiences on topics related to coaching and has authored over 40 articles related to coach development.
