Creating Healthy Active Communities Through Disc Golf
 
 
Trevor will explore the implications of disc golf as a growing sport/leisure activity that is accessible to people of nearly all abilities.  Through his own story, Trevor will provide an example of how therapeutic recreation can be extremely helpful in the field of behavioral health.

About Trevor:

Trevor is a doctoral student at the University of Idaho. He earned his Master of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. He currently studies park design and the relationship to healthy active lifestyles within communities. He is an avid disc golfer, recreation enthusiast, and involved in disc golf course design.

 

He teaches for the Recreation Department at UIdaho and enjoys the philosophical dissection of recreation-related policy issues and sport ethics.
