About Dr. Wong:
Dr. Wong currently serves as Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Graduate Sport Management Program at Washington State University. He has a Ph.D. in Sport Studies from the University of Maryland and a Master of Science in Business Administration from Robert Morris University. At Washington State University he teaches Sport Management and Facility Planning and Management.
With a research interest focused on hockey, Dr. Wong recently had a chapter titled: "Leadership and Organizational Culture: A Tale of Two NHL Franchises in Philadelphia accepted for publication in an anthology on sports in Philadelphia. He previously published two chapters, “Boomtown Hockey: The Vancouver Millionaires,” in Coast to Coast: Hockey in Canada to the Second World War and “Entrepreneurship and the Rise of the Chicago Blackhawks,” in The Chicago Sports Reader: 100 Years of Sports in the Windy City. Additional research interests include the history of sport business, sport business decision-making process and power relationships.
