Reflections

“Amazing speech.  Although it was about sports leadership, the topics can be applied to any profession outside of sports.”

“I definitely enjoyed the presentation because the presenter made it personable and provided stories that tied in greatly with the objectives or key areas that he talked about.  His insight and experience in coaching was highlighted well because he talked about how he got his start in coaching and why he started.  He stressed the importance that learning is the key in basketball success and that really hit me in a way because I’ve never thought of learning like that.  I’ve always thought that once you learn the fundamentals of a sport, then you were done and all that was left was to practice, but learning is continuous and according to the presenter you must learn in order to better yourself as a student and coach.”
