About Coach Brown:

Currently the Director of Proactive Coaching, Coach Brown spent over 35 years as a teacher, coach, and administrator at the Junior High, High School, and Collegiate level.  A former National presenter for the NAIA’s Champions of Character Program, he continues to speak nationally to athletes, coaches, parents, school districts and corporations in his role as Director of Proactive coaching. 

 

In addition to the hundreds of sport clinics, leadership summits, and academic conferences, Bruce also gives presentations to businesses including; IBM (Seattle), The Herman Miller Company (Seattle, Spokane, Salt Lake City), Volt Enterprises, and Executive Women International.  A recipient of numerous awards, Bruce received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Citizenship through Sports Alliance in 2003 and the College of the Ozarks and Coach Krzyzewski Leadership/Service Award in 2004. 

 

Coach Brown has authored author eleven books, including: Teaching Character Through Sport – Creating a Positive Coaching Legacy, 15 coaching booklets and has produced 12 instructional coaching DVD’s including Redefining the Term Athlete, The Parents Role in Athletics, Positive Conditioning and Motivating Your Players.  

Bruce and his wife Dana live on Camano Island in the state of Washington.
